Though we have long-since sold our  home, I'm leaving these photos in as "Eye Candy".
Canada is a very beautiful place, and we were very glad to have lived there for 27 years.

But first, here is a sneak-peek at where we ended up, though understandably we are rather careful what we show!
No point letting the "old bat" (now 80) know where we are! We just do not need the hassles of the 27 years in Canada repeated,
ever again. The past is now firmly in the past. Worth mentioning ... Jen and I met in the South African Wilderness, lived  for years in
the Canadian Wilderness, and ultimately ended up in the South American Wilderness. We didn't plan it, it just worked out that way.

The Good Lord (not realtors) sold Jen's home for her in 2006, at TOP dollar - within 3 days, enabling her and her family to emigrate.
Why? Well, it was just time to go. Almost 27 years (sons all grown up) in Canada (spent trying to get Jen's mother to behave normally)
was probably 26 years too many, in hindsight. So it was that our family undertook another major move (The first was from Africa to Canada)
by simply disappearing - to South America. Looking at these photos, it's clear that it was a bit heart-rending, but the Good Lord provided an even
nicer environment and home for us in the "new world", for which we are truly grateful! Now, 5yrs later, we have all settled well and got on with life.

Chalet Rose - was Jennifer's last Canadian home. (For 7 of the 27 years there, we lived in BC).  This is what we left behind to get peace!

The 180 deg view from the Deck (unfortunately I had to substantially reduce it in size for it to fit it into this space)

Late October Garden:

Jen's car was the red sports car, our youngest son drove the gold Mercedes, our eldest son the white Mercedes, and my car was the black Mercedes ex-Embassy limo.

Pretty, but as can be seen from the first few photos "We had just come to a bend in the road, and the best was yet to come"  ... and that it did!

For the 7 years we lived in Chalet Rose, across the lake from the "old Bat" - unbeknownst to her. For once we knew where she was, but she
had no clue where we were, looking everywhere but right under her nose. It was the best place to hide - but eventually our cover was blown.
And then there were all the forest fires ... These are actual photos of Jen's birth-mother's neighborhood going up in flames - started by lighting.
We got to watch from our side of the Lake (safely across the deep moat) - awestruck, as nature wreaked havoc with it's unstoppable forest fires.
